Being a young woman striving to do the will of God is not easy. While some applaud the transformation that has taken place in my life, many may not realize that it wasn’t me who accomplished it—God did!
I often reflect on the broken little girl I once was. The same girl who was exposed to pornographic images during childhood, who fell into addiction at 17, and who bravely jumped out of a car to escape an abuser. No matter how troubled my past may seem, God deserves all the glory for where He has brought me. Who could have imagined that He would take an addict and turn her into a Woman of God?
Yes, I struggled with drugs. Yes, I made mistakes. But God still has a calling on my life. It doesn’t matter if you found yourself in someone else’s bed last night—God can still deliver you!
I have faced brokenness and bruises, been used and abused, yet God continues to reveal Himself in my life. I want to encourage you: God can do incredible things if you allow Him! Whatever you need from Him, write it down and lay it before Him.
Weekly Scripture:
For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
