Detours & Decoys: Breaking the Cycle of Settling

Introduction:

A lot of times we want what Yahweh has for us, but we are too busy entertaining decoys and going down a path that Yahweh has never intended for us to go on. Have you ever sat down and thought about all of the bad decisions and bad people you allowed in your life? Have you ever noticed a pattern of toxic cycles and behaviors? This blog is for women that are waiting for a spouse but keep getting sidetracked by decoys and counterfeits. It’s for women that are tired of waiting and want to feel loved. It’s for women that are settling due to loneliness. It’s for women that keep getting entangled in the lies of the enemy. Deception is at its highest but Yahweh has given us the power to break free from its grip.

Personal Reflection:

I’ve been there too, caught up in the handsome appearance of a man. His charming words drew me closer to him, I even knew within myself that it was too good to be true. But I continued to entertain him because he was showing me attention and I was lonely. The Holy Spirit allowed him to get exposed and I broke free from his lies. I was left hurt and wishing I never allowed him in. But I realized the only way to stop the cycle is to become a cycle breaker.

Standing Firm:

Sisters, we have to tell ourselves that we’re not gonna keep being a laughing stock for the enemy! We have to stand our ground and ask Yahweh to help us to avoid the traps. Believe your discernment and seek Yahweh’s guidance in the beginning. He will keep you if you wanna be kept but how bad do you wanna be kept?

Guarding Our Gates:

Are you enjoying the attention from these men? Do you find yourself in a cycle of serial dating? It’s time to be cautious about the words we allow into our minds and spirits. If not, we can become what we consume. We must guard our ears and eyes. I know it may be challenging, even Eve was told not to eat the fruit, yet the enemy slithered into her ear and led her astray.

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of Yahweh (God).” Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Conclusion

Breaking free from the cycle of settling and sidetracks requires intense focus. You must be determined to go to the next level with Yahweh. Become sensitive to His Spirit so that you can avoid decoys and detours. Yahweh wants to give you the desires of your heart but you must first rely on Him. Remember, you have the power to break free from what’s been breaking you!
